How Celebrex Works
Celecoxib belongs to a class of medicines called NSAIDs. These medicines work by blocking a specific enzyme in the body called COX-2. Celecoxib should be used with extreme caution in patients with a history of heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disease. Celecoxib should not be used in patients with a history of asthma, urticaria, or chronic bronchitis. The drug should only be used when other therapies are ineffective.
How to take Celebrex
Do not take Celebrex if you are allergic to celecoxib or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Before taking Celebrex, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have anemia, liver disease, kidney disease, or asthma. Your doctor should also check your kidney function.
If you are also taking a medicine called leukotriene modifiers, your doctor may start you at a lower dose of 200mg. If the dose you take is doubled and you are no longer getting your urine, you should not take this medicine.

CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is also used to manage juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (in children aged 2 years and above).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin and/or other NSAIDs. It is also not recommended for use in patients with/had a history of an ulcer in stomach/intestines, bleeding in stomach/intestines, blood circulation problems (such as peripheral arterial disease), red itchy welts, inflammatory disease of the intestines (such as ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease).
